Objectives: The Master 2 "Transfer and conversion of energy" aims to train scientists capable of working at the highest level in the energy sector. The course is organized to meet the growing and significant needs of this sector by training scientists with solid knowledge and skills in the different modes of energy transfer and conversion in its electrical and thermal forms. The training aims to develop people capable of meeting the energy challenge by mastering complex techniques and evolving in their career at all levels of responsibility.
The program is made up of a common core where the fundamentals of mass and heat transfer, reactive media and the conversion of electrical energy are taught. Students can then choose a specialty. The "fluid and heat" sub-course will notably offer courses on turbulent and two-phase flows and will deepen heat transfers. The "electrical conversion" sub-course will offer courses on advanced electrical systems. In each sub-course, students will address scientific issues through theoretical, experimental and numerical approaches.
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Targeted careers : The Energy Transfer and Conversion Master's aims to train executives with a solid scientific background able to work at the highest level of responsibility in all energy sectors (production, transformation, distribution, consumption). The outlets for a first profession are more particularly research or R&D professions, in academic bodies, the research centers of large industrial groups or the development departments of smaller companies and start-ups. The training particularly prepares students to pursue their doctoral studies in an academic or industrial environment in the field of energy and transport.
