Objectives: The objective of the major "Design and Industrialization of Mechanical Systems" is to train generalist engineers who can design and industrialize new products, optimize existing products and adapt and improve the production lines of these systems.
Emphasis is also placed on developing a method to take into account the consequences of manufacturing decisions, from the earliest project stages (design office, R&D).
Intended for: students & Apprenticeship
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Acquired skills during the training : Ability to analyse needs and translate them into specifications in keeping with lean manufacturing principles
Ability to draw and describe a mechanism , resize it, model it, optimize it and develop e design file of the final system
Selection of materials suitable for the product function
Address financial and environmental issues in pre-planning stages
Product industrialization and optimization of production facilities
Targeted careers : The cross-disciplinary nature of the major in "Design and Industrialization of Mechanical Systems" allows EIGSI engineers to work in all industrial sectors, including automotive, aviation, rail, aerospace, ship-building, energy consumer good and recreational facilities.
