Objectives: An “embedded” system defines a precise task in real time, autonomously and responds to the needs of different sectors of activity: energy, health, transport, etc. Its design covers a broad set of skills since it must take into account aspects consumption, integration, data processing and most often communication with the outside world.
This field presents both hardware (electronics) and software (embedded computing or mobile applications) aspects integrated into high-tech systems that improve our daily lives.
Highly specialized, the embedded electronics engineer focuses on the electronic aspects, as his title indicates, of the embedded systems that he is called upon to design.
Intended for: Students
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Acquired skills during the training : Design an embedded electronic system (choice and implementation of components)
Develop embedded software
Master programmable digital components
Use the technologies available in the field of electronics wisely, typically 4 months minimum internationally on M1/M2.
It is essential to have the ability to take into account constraints when designing the system which revolve around:
autonomy,
Real-time processing,
Adapted size and energy consumption.
Targeted careers : In large companies, in a start-up, or even in a consulting firm, the world of embedded electronics creates numerous jobs each year, many of which are still to be filled due to the strong dynamism of the sector, and a number of candidates still too low. Once you graduate, and with a specialization in embedded electronics, what job can you hope to pursue? Here are some examples.
Duration and terms: 2 years
Partnerships with national organisations: Airbus Group, Dassault, PSA, Renault, Safran, SNCF, Thales…
