Objectives: The GPM engineer is a design, research & development or production engineer. His skills are adapted to instrumentation and high-tech activities in the fields of advanced materials, micro/opto-electronic components and nanotechnologies.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Acquired skills during the training : - Materials, properties and manufacturing: classes of materials (metallic, ceramic, semiconductor, polymer), structural, physical, mechanical and chemical, macro/microscopic properties; development, shaping and assembly processes; associated analysis methods (mechanical traction, optical transmission, ultrasound, crystallography, non-destructive testing, durability, etc.)
- Materials and functions: special alloys, composites; quantum mechanics, physics of semiconductors and components for microelectronics, optoelectronics and photovoltaics; manufacturing of components in a clean room (laser, MOS transistors)
- Instrumentation: automation and regulation, introduction to advanced measurement systems, introduction to a language dedicated to instrumentation, analog electronics, signal processing
