Objectives: This major is designed to meet the needs of industry faced with increasingly complex systems.
The objective of the "Mechatronics" major is to train multi-skilled systems engineers able to:
> analyse a system to develop each component of the product, making the best choices throughout the project,
> understand the interactions of electronics, informatics, automatics, thermal systems, optical systems, materials, etc.
> resolve a wide variety of industrial problems, both in terms of products and processes.
Intended for: Students & Apprenticeship
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Admission requirements: Students in the second year of preparatory classes for the Grandes Ecoles (CPGE) MP, PSI, PC, PT, TSI and ATS can integrate general engineering training EIGSI La Rochelle year EIGSI-3.
Students from L1, L2, L3 or M1 and want to join an engineering background have the opportunity to apply for EIGSI La Rochelle via the own competition of the school.
The general engineering apprenticeship is for under 26, holders of a bac + 2 scientists (Vocational CPGE, etc.).
Acquired skills during the training : Thorouh understanding of mechatronic systems: energy exchanges, electromagnetic interactions, control systems (sensors, actuators, onboard computer, control strategies ...)
Ability to analyze, model and optimize complex mechatronics systems to achieve increasing miniaturization.
Ability to integrate different technologies within a mechatronic system in order to improve its performance.
Targeted careers : Mechatronics engineers can work in many sectors : mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, computers, plastics, materials, machine-tools, home appliances, etc. Obviously, the aerospace, automotive and telephony sectors are certain to increasingly recruit mechatronics engineers.
