Course Details

Objectives: The University Bachelor of Technology in Data Science (BUT SD) aims to train senior technicians specializing in statistics and business intelligence, capable of helping decision-makers adapt their strategy through:

The design and management of databases (collecting, structuring, cleaning data),
The statistical analysis of data (interpreting, automating, developing indicators, managing data, etc.),
The representation and communication of results (summaries, graphs, maps, dashboards, data visualization, infographics, etc.).

After a first year of common training, the University Bachelor of Technology in Data Science (BUT SD) offers two courses from the second year,
This specialization covers approximately 15% of the program.

These two courses are:

– EMS: statistical exploration and modeling,
– VCOD: visualization, design of decision-making tools.

Each of these two courses can be followed alternately either from the second year or the third year.
It is possible to complete a semester of training abroad (partnership with UQAC in Chicoutimi, Quebec).
