Objectives: Train future executives in the plastics industry who will be able to provide their skills in the areas of developing new materials, rheology and plastics processing.
These future professionals will be able to:
Design and master the processes for developing and implementing polymer materials in an industrial environment.
Lead a project in the design and implementation of a polymer material with a view to controlling their properties and behaviors.
Provide added value requested by the industry thanks to their knowledge of the characterization and understanding of the rheological behavior of polymer materials.
Carry out technological monitoring on the research and development of new materials and processes and propose innovative solutions.
The first year is organized into two semesters. The lessons of the first semester cover fundamental knowledge of polymer and inorganic materials. The second semester offers two specializations, one “Multimaterials” at the Claude Bernard Lyon University1 and the other “Polymers and their applications” at the Jean Monnet University of Saint Étienne.
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Targeted careers : The aim of the course is to train specialists in polymer materials for industry and academic research (technical study managers, research and development of the plastics industry, laboratory manager for the formulation/characterization of plastic materials, design office manager/materials development, product developer, etc.)
