Course Details

Objectives: The University Bachelor of Technology in Materials Science and Engineering [BUT SGM] allows you to realize the scientific and technical aspects of materials by offering opportunities in many innovative industrial sectors.

The IUT of Chambéry offers a local adaptation of the national program which strengthens skills in eco-design and energy management of materials.

The BUT SGM is accessible in classic or work-study format.

Degree Level (EU) : 6 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Acquired skills during the training : GENERAL SKILLS
* Know how to use basic information technology tools,
* Have a mastery of French allowing you to acquire new skills,
* Be able to work in a team,
* Be active in your training: experiment and want to learn.

TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC SKILLS
* Show motivation and curiosity for technology and science and in particular mathematics, physics and chemistry,
* Master the basic notions of scientific reasoning.
