Course Details

Objectives: The increase in frequency (carrier frequency beyond GHz) makes it possible to design electronic systems with reduced dimensions and wider authorized bandwidths, resulting in better throughput. The complete integration of a circuit makes it possible, among other things, to reduce its dimensions and therefore its weight, to increase production, to improve its reliability and performance.
This training aims to provide the necessary bases for the monolithic integration of microwave circuits in order to design increasingly miniaturized and complex circuits with increasingly precise and demanding specifications.

At the end of this training, participants will be able to model, simulate and design microwave devices in MMIC technology.

Intended for: Senior electronics engineers and technicians responsible for the design of microwave integrated circuits (MMIC circuits) on GaAs.

Prerequisites: Transmission line theory, Smith chart, adaptation, S parameters. These prerequisites can be acquired by following the training “High frequency electronics: harmonic analysis tools – transmission lines”.

Duration and terms: 21 h
