Course Details

Objectives: Planes have been flying for just over a century. And, in fact, flight often defies the intuition of the terrestrial animal that we are. How does a plane fly and how can you prevent it from escaping the pilot's control? How high can it rise into the sky? So many questions to which this MOOC will strive to answer with passion, simplicity and scientific rigor, relying on visual explanations, realistic scenarios, simulations and limiting itself to mathematical formalism accessible to a final year science student. .

Prerequisites: This MOOC is oriented towards the general public with a scientific baccalaureate level. The level of scientific requirements is important to understand all of the concepts presented. However, whenever possible, different reading levels will be offered allowing all profiles to follow the course.

Duration and terms: Total duration: 4 weeks with an estimated work volume of 3 hours/week (all inclusive, courses + personal work).
