Objectives: The BUT Industrial Engineering and Maintenance trains middle managers over three years capable of installing, maintaining and improving a multi-technical system, controlling the risks inherent to this system, and supervising a maintenance department. The GIM specialty is a multidisciplinary training combining the scientific and technical aspects of electricity, mechanics, automation and thermal engineering, with solid general training.
The course offered in Tulle, from the 2nd year onwards, is Multitechnical Systems Engineering. This course proposes to analyze the technological behavior of equipment to improve its performance, particularly in the energy field.
Degree Level (EU) : 6 - (EQC level or equivalent)

• and participate in the management of the technical and human resources of a maintenance service
Targeted careers : All sectors of activity are concerned by maintenance: the manufacturing and agri-food industries, those of metallurgy, wood, ceramics, energy production, transport, and numerous service activities (hospitals, parks of attraction...) etc.
Graduates are managers or middle managers in maintenance (senior technician, team manager, maintenance manager). Opportunities are also offered in a method department, a design office or in production.
