Objectives: The EFC course offers Physics and Mechanics students from Le Havre interested in Energy a unique place for training and initiation to research on the Energetics of Complex Fluids. This course is complementary to the Professional and Research course Energy-Fluid-Environment-Optical Metrologies (PREFEMO) of the Energy section of the University of Rouen, and to the Building Energy (EB) and Renewable Energy & Civil Engineering (RECEng) courses of the Civil Engineering mention carried by the University of Le Havre.
The EFC course aims to train senior executives through the Research and Professional pathways in the fields of energy, fluid mechanics, diagnosis, hydrodynamic/kinetic/quantum modeling, and process optimization.
The professional and research paths are developed in a complementary manner to meet the requirements for understanding physical mechanisms and their practical applications.
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Acquired skills during the training : The skills and abilities consist of the ability to solve practical, design and implementation problems, which relate to:
– Condensed media:
Fluid mechanics, Elasticity, Plasticity, Materials physics, Polymer physics, Hydrodynamic instabilities, Electro/magneto/
hydrodynamics, Microfluidics, Turbulence, Acoustics, Mixtures, Suspensions.
– Energy and applications:
General and applied thermodynamics, Heat transfers, Solar-wind-geothermal energy, Rotating machines, Marine hydrodynamics, Industrial fluids.
– Diluted media:
Optics, Lasers, Plasma Physics, Spectroscopy, Collisional Kinetics.
– Engineer’s tools:
