Course Details
Objectives: Created by the "Defence & Aerospace" Chair, the "Defence & Space" Summer School aims to share, using a global and multidisciplinary approach, knowledge of the place of space in international security and to awaken its listeners to the issues and challenges that this new operational and conflictual field could constitute in the 21st century. It also addresses how France, the EU and the Alliance conceive of its use to protect themselves or to put themselves in a position for political and operational actions. Finally, it deals with the economic dimension of defense space and allows to discover the industrial and technological base of defense (BITD) space, national and European.
Intended for: The Summer School is intended exclusively for students, researchers, academics and civil and military professionals concerned. Through conferences and exchanges with high-level speakers from different backgrounds (civil and military, French and European institutions; aerospace industries), auditors benefit from comprehensive training on defense issues related to the outer space.
Duration and terms: Next session from 23 to 27 June, 2025, simultaneously face-to-face at Sciences Po Bordeaux (paying with a limited number of places, with visit and convivial sequences) and remotely (free and without limit of places).
Registration open at the beginning of April on the Sciences Po Bordeaux website.
