Objectives: The Technological University Bachelor (BUT) Industrial Engineering and Maintenance (GIM) is a course leading to a Bac+3 diploma.
The priority objectives of this diploma are to train future professionals who will be able, in the industrial environment, to ensure the installation, reliability, availability, safety and optimal performance of equipment. The education provided is multidisciplinary and covers a wide spectrum of technical know-how associated with the 5 basic skills of the professions targeted: Maintain, Improve, Install, Manage, Secure. At the end of the first common year, students are invited to choose the skills they wish to refine and therefore orient their course by choosing one of the following two courses:
3MI: Management, Methods and Innovative Maintenance
ISP: Multi-Technical Systems Engineering.
In addition, since 2007, the GIM department of Perpignan has included in its programs training dedicated to "renewable energies" (wind, photovoltaic and solar thermal) as part of adaptation to the local economic environment.
Degree Level (EU) : 6 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Targeted careers : This professional can carry out his activities in the sectors: renewable energies, agri-food, mechanical construction, aeronautics, automotive, electrical or electronic construction, energy production, transport, public works and building, etc.
He can also work in different types of services: studies and new works, maintenance, quality, safety, technical-commercial services, services in charge of energy and environmental problems, after-sales service of a machine manufacturer, etc.
Duration and terms: 3 years: 2000 hours of traditional teaching (courses, tutorials, practical work, knowledge assessment) and 600 hours of tutored projects
internship in 2nd and 3rd year.
