Objectives: The Official Master in Connected Industry trains highly qualified professionals in the industrial field, able to participate in the design of the interconnection of processes, control and data analysis on a recurring basis. This master's degree provides a solid scientific and technical basis, as well as a set of transversal skills and abilities.
The master's degree allows the professional to integrate into the industry, in addition to giving him the ability to meet the challenge of modernizing the processes in which he is integrated through the incorporation of ICT. It also enables it to carry out its work in both R & D & i departments and research centers.
The objectives of the Master in Connected Industry of the University of Jaén are as follows:
Propose and develop solutions for the IoT (Internet of Things) and apply them to the industrial sector.
Know and use cyber-physical systems technologies and their application in industry.
Know the procedures of cloud computing and analyze its possibilities in the industrial field.
Know the technological foundations of big data and develop solutions for the smart factory.
Know the industrial control and information systems of factories and their application in production processes.
Know and use technologies to cope with the convergence between the world of operations and that of information technology.
Know and apply techniques to develop products for new manufacturing processes.
Know and use new additive manufacturing technologies (3D printing).
Know the advances in industrial robotics.
Acquire a global vision of the possibilities of virtual and augmented reality in the manufacture and design of products.
Know the importance of cybersecurity management in the smart factory.
Know and understand the dynamics of the smart factory and its relationship with the development of new economic models.
Know the implications of the digital transformation process of the industrial company and analyze the needs to start and develop said process.
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Admission requirements: Taking into account the provisions of article 17 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, amended by Royal Decree 861/2010, the SPECIFIC EVALUATION CRITERIA are established which will be applicable if the demand is greater than the number of places offered:
a) Academic record (40%).
b) Degree affinity (40%):
To. High preference: Any degree in the industrial engineering, telecommunications or computer science family.
b. Medium preference: rest of engineering.
vs. Low preference: other degrees.
c) Professional experience (20%).
All merits will be assessed based on their affinity with the content of the Master and all should be documented.
The Regulations on official master's degrees at the University of Jaén (approved in session n ° 24 of April 30, 2013, amended in session n ° 39 of April 8, 2014 and in session n ° 49 of January 30, 2015 of Administrative Council Council of the University of Jaén) defines, in article 6. "Admission to official university master's degrees" the following procedure:
Admission to a University Master will be decided according to the admission and enrollment rules and instructions issued for each academic year by the University of Jaén. Admission to a specific official Master will be determined by the specific requirements and merit assessment criteria which, if applicable, establish the report of the corresponding degree.
Admission conditions may include specific requirements for prior training in certain disciplines or additional training on a proposal from the Master's Academic Coordination Commission and with the approval of the Postgraduate Education Commission. In the requirement of additional complementary training, the adequacy between the skills acquired in the original study plan and those provided for in the study plan of the requested University Master will be taken into account.
