Objectives: Materials are at the heart of all industrial activities and revolutions, from metallurgy to nanomaterials and nanotechnologies, including microelectronics, plastics and composites.
The Materials specialty trains engineers with knowledge of the major classes of materials, with skills oriented towards the development of new materials, the characterization, choice and use of materials, as well as quality and environmental aspects.
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Targeted careers : The Materials Engineer is present in all branches of industry, his skills being necessary when it comes to designing and producing an object: a vehicle, a mobile phone, a hip prosthesis, a windsurf board, a nuclear reactor, a solar cell ... Its skills are indeed essential to meet the challenges of sustainable development: increase in the cost of raw materials, energy issues (lightening of structures in transport, renewable energies), environmental issues (eco-design, recycling) .
Duration and terms: bac +2
