Course Details
Objectives: Acquire the key skills of the Geomatician Technician (RNCP37103):
- Collect and acquire geographic data
- Integrate and update spatial and attributive components in a GIS
- Disseminate spatial and attributive components from a GIS
Degree Level (EU) : 5 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Acquired skills during the training : - Basic concept of GIS
- Learning and improvement on commonly used software: QGIS and ARCGIS PRO
- Computer science and Internet: theoretical bases, introduction to the Internet and links with GIS (HTML, PHP, JavaScript, OpenLayers, etc.), learning Geoserver and OpenLayers, ArcGIS ONLINE
- Databases: basic rules of relational mode, database design, SQL language, learning PostgreSQL and PostGIS, ESRI Geodatabases
- Techniques associated with GIS: integration of data from CAD software, mobile GIS and GPS geolocation, remote sensing
Targeted careers : Leads to the professional title of Geomatics Technician (TGEO)

- DISTANCE course "MTFAD SIG Methods and Techniques", financed by the Occitanie Region, 7 months including 2 months of internship in a company
- Work-study course "MALT SIG Methods and Techniques", 1 year including 100 days in a training center
