Objectives: The Master 2 Remote Sensing and Geomatics Applied to the Environment aims to give students high-level training in the processing of data from spatial remote sensing and their integration into geographic databases to meet the needs of monitoring and environnment management.
Students thus acquire the skills and knowledge preparing them for engineering jobs in companies whose activities relate to space, geomatics, environmental management, risk prevention and land use planning.
Intended for: Students holding an M1 degree in geography, applied physics, geosciences, environmental engineering or computer science. 3rd year pupils of the grandes écoles.
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Prerequisites: Initial training: having validated a year of Master in a scientific field or holding a diploma or a course that can lead to equivalence.
Continuing education: executives with at least 5 years of professional experience, through a procedure of Validation of Acquired Experience.
Admission requirements: On file and interview examined by a recruitment committee
Acquired skills during the training : - Processing and analysis of spatial imagery (optical, radar) and lidar
- Design, processing, analysis of geographic databases
- Webmapping
- Programming
Targeted careers : The Master in Remote Sensing and Geomatics Applied to the Environment prepares:
- engineering jobs in companies in the space imagery and geomatics sector,
- the professions of environmental and territorial management: monitoring of natural resources (agronomy, forestry, hydrology, energy), regional planning, prevention and management of natural risks.
