Objectives: Geographic data servers provide spatial data in the form of standardized geographic web services. The training aims to understand the functioning of the Server part of a service-oriented GIS architecture and to give an overview of the different possible solutions in terms of cartographic servers (free or proprietary):
• Understand the challenges of interoperability in the dissemination of geographic data
• Know the role of the different architecture components to propose appropriate technical solutions
• Know how to install, configure and use geographic data servers
• Set up a client mapping application for data consultation
Intended for: Geomaticians, GIS administrators, Web developers.
Prerequisites: Fundamentals of geographic information, knowledge of OGC services.
Acquired skills during the training : Master the use of Geo server.
Duration and terms: Training carried out over 3 weeks equivalent to 3 days face-to-face.
