Course Details

Objectives: The professional license Quality Controls Metrology aims, in one academic year of training, to provide and consolidate new professional skills in the mastery and development of metrology techniques and industrial controls, particularly non-destructive, which are part of a quality approach.
Graduates will be able to hold management positions in companies, able to manage industrial metrology and control processes, and to lead teams in SME-SMIs. They will stand out from the engineers by a more applied training and a "field" approach of the situations and will distinguish themselves from the graduates BAC + 2 technological by a dimension more "Managerial" as well as by an ability to grasp the dimension The economic decisions taken.
This license incorporates the necessary openness of the technological training to the questions of the economic and legal environment of the company and in particular the legislative constraints of industrial ecology. This training of 550 hours will be able to welcome graduates of BAC + 2, OTC, BTS, Deust, diploma whose professional project will be clearly identified in relation to the trade of quality specialist-metrologist.

The training consists of two parts:

The first allows to develop managerial skills in 125 hours,
The second skill related to the trade in 275 hours.
An adaptation module of one hundred hours will allow students regardless of their original training to approach both parties in the best conditions. The training will welcome the publics of alternating training and continuing education following the requests of the Mecanic Valley Industries and in collaboration with the chambers of Commerce and industries of the departments covered by this structure.
In the framework of this Professional license, the IUT de FIGEAC has completed its technological platform by establishing a certified dimensional metrology laboratory to meet the specific needs of SMEs in the Mecanic Vallée in the form Partnership and exchange of skills
