Course Details

Objectives: The Physical Engineering and Embedded Systems specialty trains engineers who work across the entire continuum of digital technologies, from component manufacturing processes to their integration, including their programming. They are able to integrate into companies or technology startups to develop and implement connected systems and services that will meet the technological, societal, ecological and economic challenges of the 21st century by addressing the following sectors: industrial transition in the fields of (micro)electronics and materials by optimizing processes; energy transition in the fields of optoelectronic systems and instrumentation; digital transition in the fields of data science and vision (AI). Approximately one third of the training takes the form of projects in which students are made aware of systems engineering and design review.

Intended for: Students with French Baccalaureat or Bac+2
Student in initial training

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements: Student in final year S or STi2D, registration for the GEIPI-POLYTECH competition / Student in CPGE, IUT, BTS and L2 or L3, recruitment in the engineering cycle by competition / Student holding an M1 or M2, recruitment by competition of the Polytech network.

Acquired skills during the training : Develop technological bricks / Integrate hardware systems / Process digital data / Manage a project development in a system approach

Targeted careers : Sectors of activity and opportunities: aeronautics, armaments, automotive, telecommunications, biomedical, multimedia, banking, environment, industrial and embedded computing, microelectronics, lighting

Duration and terms: For high school graduates: 5 years (2-year integrated initial cycle + 3 years of engineering cycle); for Bac+2: 3 years of engineering cycle. Professionalization contracts are possible in the final year of the engineering cycle.
